• Style. The biggest, and most outwardly noticeable, difference between these two cars is their exterior design. The Challenger is a two-door coupe. Both have the secure cargo space of a rear trunk for your gear, and both feature the muscular and imposing stance and design that drivers love.
• Interior space. The differences in their exterior design translate to a few key differences on the inside as well. Both cars seat up to five people in two rows. Once your backseat passengers climb into the rear of the Challenger, they'll find less legroom, shoulder room, and hip room.
• Performance. Both of these impressive cars have an extensive menu of powertrain options, starting with standard V6 power and going up from there. Both also offer the choice of either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, depending on your trim preference, and both offer the engaging performance and handling that have made them legendary. But the Challenger starts with a little more power right out of the gate, and it tops out with a higher maximum output of 807 horsepower.

Both cars seat up to five people in two rows, but the Charger, as the four-door car, has a backseat that's more spacious and comfortable than the Challenger. The Charger allows passengers to enter and exit the backseat with ease and offers more than seven inches of extra legroom in the rear, four inches of extra shoulder room, and more than 8 inches of extra hip room.
• Performance. Both of these impressive cars have an extensive menu of powertrain options, starting with standard V6 power and going up from there. Both also offer the choice of either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, depending on your trim preference, and both offer the engaging performance and handling that have made them legendary. The Charger tops out at 797 horsepower from its top-tier engine and trim combination.
• Transmission. The Charger sedan comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission standard as the only option.
