2021 Chrysler Pacifica vs 2021 Toyota Sienna: Compare Minivans

Cutting-Edge and Family-Friendly, the Chrysler Pacifica Minivan is Taking on the Competition

Chrysler perfected the minivan style and design long before other brand names jumped on the bandwagon, and they took it one step further when they introduced the groundbreaking Chrysler Pacifica several years ago. The first minivan to introduce a range of exciting, new features, and the first-ever minivan to offer hybrid technology, the Pacifica is a topnotch model that's hard to beat.

As much as we love the Chrysler Pacifica here at Schicker Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, and as much as we know it's the ideal fit for any St. Louis family, we also know there are other, similar models competing for your attention. To help you understand what makes the Pacifica the perfect minivan for your family rides, we've pit it side-by-side with the Toyota Sienna for you here.

Read on to discover some of the key areas where the Pacifica tops the Sienna and contact us to meet available Pacifica models in person and experience it for yourself in Washington.

The Chrysler Pacifica

  • Hybrid engineering. When it was introduced a couple years ago, the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid was the first (and only) hybrid minivan on the market. The Pacifica hybrid is a plug-in that's rechargeable and offers up to 32 miles of EV-only driving.
  • Interior space. While both models have three rows of seating and space to seat your entire family, the Pacifica is a little roomier and more comfortable on the inside. All three rows offer ample headroom and legroom, with more shoulder room and elbow room than the Toyota minivan.
  • Power and performance. Not only does the Pacifica offer a gas alternative and an EV driving range in its menu of options, but it also delivers more power from both engine options than the Toyota Sienna. The Pacifica engines deliver V6 power and 287 horsepower.
  • Standard features. The Chrysler Pacifica gets such standard amenities as a power-operated liftgate, a keyless entry and ignition, remote engine start system, and more. Additionally, only the Chrysler minivan gets the carmaker's signature "Stow n' Go" storage system that allows you to fold the second-row seats into the floor to make room for additional cargo when needed.

The Toyota Sienna

  • Hybrid engineering. In 2021, Toyota made the Sienna exclusively hybrid. The Sienna is a traditional hybrid that doesn't have an electric driving range. Toyota dropped the gas-powered Sienna when they introduced it as a hybrid, leaving no alternative.
  • Interior space. The Toyota Sienna has three rows of seating and space to seat your entire family. All three rows offer ample headroom and legroom.
  • Power and performance. The Sienna engine is an inline-four cylinder with 245 horsepower.
  • Standard features. The Toyota Sienna offers a power-operated liftgate, a keyless entry and ignition, remote engine start system, and more, optional on upper trims.
